Who is responsible
Melanie Gummer, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, practising at The Regency Practice, 22A Rodney Road, Cheltenham GL50 1JJ, is the data controller for information collected here.
What is collected
This website has no contact form, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. Nothing is collected automatically as you browse.
If you email me, I receive whatever you choose to put in that email — usually your name, your email address, and something about why you are getting in touch. Please only share what you are comfortable sharing at this stage.
Why it is held, and for how long
Enquiry emails are used solely to reply to you and to arrange a consultation. If you go on to become a client, separate clinical records are kept in line with professional practice standards; these are held securely and are not connected to this website. If you do not go on to become a client, your enquiry email is deleted within twelve months.
Who it is shared with
Your information is not sold, and it is not shared for marketing. It may be disclosed without your consent only where the law requires it, or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else — the same limits that apply to confidentiality in the therapy itself, which we will discuss before we begin.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what information is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how it is used. Email me and I will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
